The Hundred-Million-Dollar Investment-Life Lecture: CLEC's First Class (Overview)
CLEC's new-year "first investing class" — the 2024 edition is The Hundred-Million-Dollar Investment-Life Lecture; the 2026 edition expands into The Ten-Billion-Dollar Investment Lecture. It's the channel's 101: starting from "wealth is a birthright, happiness is a human right," it walks you out of the worker's rat cage and into capitalist life via long-term holding of US index funds. This page is its overview and entry point.
In 30 seconds: This is CLEC’s new-year “first investing class” and the channel’s 101. The 2024 edition is titled The Hundred-Million-Dollar Investment-Life Lecture (video 00451); the 2026 edition expands into The Ten-Billion-Dollar Investment Lecture. Its core line: “Wealth is a birthright; happiness is a human right.” It teaches you to leave the “worker’s rat cage” and become a capitalist by holding US index funds for the long term (buy when you have money, never sell — just as a landlord never sells his land). Newcomers are often told “watch 00451 first” — this page is its overview and entry point.1
📌 This is an entry page, not a restatement: each chapter’s full content lives on its own concept page (links below); this page keeps only the lecture’s skeleton and order and routes you onward. For numbers, the newer 2026 “ten-billion” edition governs on those concept pages.
The lecture’s skeleton (in deck order)
- A life worth living — “wealth is a birthright, happiness is a human right.” Wealth is a right you already have; you just need to be told. Ultimately you must feel happy. First ask: what is your most important life goal? And with a hundred million, what would it become?1 → 快樂是人權, 別為錢賣命
- Capitalist vs. worker — work is service, not for money; only when you earn without labor and without spending time are you truly rich. The capitalist gains freedom and fulfills a life mission, with money as a mere tool; the worker grinds 9-to-5, pays endless taxes and loans, trapped in the rat cage.1 → 勞工還是資本家
- The worker’s rat cage — earning for the boss, trading life for money, paying taxes, begging for raises, earning to pay the bank’s loans, buying a big house and car, material consumption, wasting resources, unable to escape the loop.1 → 勞工還是資本家, 別為錢賣命
- The key to wealth: the conversion channel of money-energy — the path beyond the rat cage is a chain: learning/investing → living simply → saving hard → meeting basic material needs → savings → the market earns for me → giving back to society, lifting the collective’s spirit-energy. Earning by working is only the start; ultimately you let “the market (money) work for you automatically.”1
- The capitalist key to wealth — long-term investing in US index funds: buy when you have money, invest for the long term, never sell (the same logic as a landlord never selling his land).1 → 為什麼是納斯達克100, 從擇時操作到打死不賣
- Who must NOT invest — those who can’t withstand market drops, and money needed short-term, should not enter. A bubble can bring a 70% drop; workers should first keep about six months of emergency cash; anyone who’d worry themselves sleepless should keep money in fixed deposits — what you must avoid is bankruptcy, not the pursuit of wealth.1 → 現金是空氣, 崩盤是朋友
- Instrument and discipline — the core is simply the Nasdaq-100 (QQQ) plus each country’s corresponding local ETF; don’t accept any product an advisor pitches — not even the ETFs/products a Charles Schwab financial consultant recommends after opening your account.1 → 全球納斯達克100指數基金對照, 值得讀的投資書籍
Long-term return comparison (deck figures, for reference)
The lecture uses long-term annualized returns to explain “why stocks, and specifically the US index”: the deck lists a long-term comparison of roughly US index ~8.9%, bonds ~5.4%, gold ~2.1%; the Nasdaq-100 (QQQ) is higher over the long run (about 10%).1
⚠️ Some percentages in the deck are blurred by file conversion and are long-term approximations from the time, sensitive to the window; this page takes only the clearest and routes the rest back to the concept pages. Past returns don’t indicate the future. Faithfully summarized from CLEC teaching; not investment advice.
Hundred-million → ten-billion: the same class, evolved
The 2024 edition is The Hundred-Million-Dollar Investment-Life Lecture; the 2026 edition expands into The Ten-Billion-Dollar Investment Lecture — the skeleton is unchanged (wealth is a birthright, leave the rat cage, hold the Nasdaq long-term), but it details the asset-allocation, pledging, and retirement-withdrawal chapters further. The channel treats it as the year’s first class, and it’s clec-md’s flagship. For chapter detail see 現金是空氣, 為什麼是納斯達克100, 勞工還是資本家.1
